Welcome
Thank you for visiting the Aurora Residents for Recreation website.
The Aurora Residents for Recreation (ARR) has been authorized by City Council to conduct feasibility studies in 2010 for the recreational facilities required to meet the community needs identified in the 2009 Community Needs Assessment for recreation services and facilities. The feasibility studies for the seven recommended community recreation centers are being conducted in two phases, with the first phase addressing the location, components, costs, financing and construction of three regional facilities: north, central and south.
Under the leadership of the ARR, project teams comprised of ARR members, volunteer residents, city of Aurora staff and outside consultants are overseeing the feasibility studies for each of the three centers being studied in phase one of the project.
The final Public Meetings for phase one have been scheduled for the second week of September.
To provide facility design input, please click on the tab at left for the region in which you live and follow the directions to assure your input and comments are included. Your input and comments must be received by September 6, 2010.
The ARR is always recruiting residents to contribute to the efforts that are critical to the successful design and implementation of community recreation center solutions that will meet residents’ needs.
